A majority of residential solar systems are mounted on the roof of the home. What happens when it's time to replace the roof?

Solar Maintenance Services partners with roofers, solar installers, and homeowners to provide professional and expedient removals and reinstalls (detach and reset).

Our process includes a system inspection before and during the removal, a cloud folder with photos and notes of before and after the project, and a range of options to overcome discontinued parts or other hurdles.

Solar Penetrations and Racking

If there are issues with the wiring or racking, we'll make sure to inform you right away. Replacing racking and wiring can result from wildlife damages, or simply from discontinued parts. Either way, we'll make you aware of anything that will influence changes before the reinstall

Solar Detach (Removal)

We seal all penetrations to leave them water tight while we wait for your roof replacement. Our team will label and stage all the parts/pieces on-site to ensure we can re-use as many components as possible; to reduce cost to you.

Solar Reset (Solar Reinstall)

Finally, we will reinstall the equipment in a manner to protect your new roof. If there were equipment errors found during the removal, we can offer options to remedy any issues found. Solar Maintenance Services offers a 10-year leak warranty for solar penetrations.
